Previous Legal Experience and Education:

During pupillage he worked with Michael Mansfield KC where he assisted the Stephen Lawrence Inquiry Legal Team.

Omar joined the Government Legal Service working across multiple Departments of State, for about twelve years, in parallel reading an MBA at Cranfield University.

During secondment to Southwark Council he dealt with the response to Lord Herman Ouseley’s review of the council.

Omar is married with one daughter and three sons.
